One of the most common requests we hear from customers is simple:
“I just need one more portfolio.”
Until now, adding another portfolio often meant moving to a higher plan, even if your current plan already had the features you needed.
That made sense in some cases. But not always.
Sometimes the plan is right. You don’t need different reports, more advanced features, or a bigger setup. You just need another portfolio slot.
So we’ve added extra portfolios to eligible plans, giving you a simpler way to add more capacity when your investing setup grows.

Why We Added Extra Portfolios
Every investor structures things a little differently.
You might have:
- A personal portfolio
- A joint portfolio
- An SMSF
- A family trust
- A company portfolio
- A portfolio for a spouse or family member
- A separate account for a different investment strategy
Previously, once you reached your plan’s portfolio limit, your main option was to upgrade.
For some customers, that was the right move. Especially if they also needed more reporting features, more holding groups, priority support, or a different plan structure.
But we also heard from customers who were happy with their current plan.
They just needed room for one more portfolio.
That’s the problem this update is designed to solve.
How Extra Portfolios Work
If your plan supports extra portfolios, you can add them directly to your current subscription.
You can do this from Billing & Subscription by increasing your Portfolio limit.
You can also do it from Manage Portfolios if you reach your current limit and try to create another portfolio.
Before anything is confirmed, Navexa will show you the cost of the extra portfolio so you can review it first.
For annual subscriptions, the amount charged today is calculated pro rata based on the time remaining until your next renewal date.
For monthly subscriptions, the same logic applies based on the time remaining until your next monthly billing date.

When To Add A Portfolio
Adding an extra portfolio makes sense when your current plan already gives you the features you need.
For example, you might be on Standard and need a fourth portfolio for a spouse, SMSF, trust, or separate investment account.
Or you might be on Premium and need to track one more entity without moving into a different plan structure.
In those cases, adding a portfolio can be the simpler option.
You keep the same plan, with the same feature set, and add more portfolio capacity.
When To Upgrade Instead
There are still times when upgrading may make more sense.
If you need more reporting features, more custom holding groups, priority support, client management, team access, or Pro features, a higher plan may be the better fit.
In some cases, upgrading can also be more cost-effective than adding multiple extra portfolios, depending on how many you need.
A simple way to think about it is:
Add extra portfolios when you need more capacity. Upgrade when you need more features.
This gives you more control over how your Navexa subscription fits your setup.

Available On AUD And USD Plans
Extra portfolios are available on supported AUD and USD plans.
This means both Australian and global customers can add more portfolio capacity where their plan allows it.
For Australian customers, AUD plans continue to include Australian tax reporting features.
For global customers, USD plans continue to focus on performance tracking and analytics, and do not include tax reporting.
What About Pro?
Navexa Pro works differently.
Pro is designed for accountants, advisers, family offices, and firms managing client portfolios.
Because Pro is already structured around per-portfolio pricing and client workflows, extra portfolio add-ons do not apply in the same way. See more information here.
Where To Add Extra Portfolios
There are two ways to add more portfolios.

A More Practical Way To Grow Your Setup
Your investing setup can change over time.
You might open a new account, start tracking another entity, set up an SMSF, manage a trust, or help track investments for someone in your household.
With this update, you don’t always need to change plans just because your portfolio structure grows.
You can keep the plan that suits your feature needs and add more portfolio capacity when you need it.
