I don't know why it took me so long to start using this. I tried a few similar products but kept coming back to Navexa because the pricing was better and I preferred the look and feel of the UI. So far it's been great. Importing data from my brokerage accounts was simple and just worked, and once the integrations were set up, all my trades started flowing through automatically. The support has also been excellent. I had a pretty embarrassing "user error" moment, the kind where you say, "I swear I didn't change anything and it looks different now!" 😂 The team was quick to help and got me back on track. One thing to note: when you first contact support via chat or email, you'll usually receive an AI response. Don't be alarmed, it may actually solve your issue. If you need a person, simply say "I need a human" and someone will get back to you. In an age of endless loops with AI support bots, that was refreshing to see.

I have just started using Navexa and so far everything is simple and easy to use. The only complication is with a broker account however with the changes in Australia( Australian Tax Resident) re capital gains I will be changing that broker so no problem. Navexa is Great!

Navexa makes doing capital gains tax calculations so much easier. There was a little bit of a learning curve to get started and familiarize myself with the interface but its very intuitive and nicely designed. The initial CSV import worked well to get all of my historical trade data loaded into the account and now that it is synced to my trading account there should be fairly minimal work required to get future tax reports calculated. As well as being brilliant at working out tax, it is also now my primary tool for checking my portfolio and having a better understanding of all the data due to the options it gives you to customize holdings groups and filter things easily.

The best thing I have done since investing in the share market was to dump my spreadsheets and subscribe to Navexa. Once subscribed I was surprised at the amount of time it has saved me from entry of trades to tax time. Best Portfolio Management system

A system which is a MUST for those having numerous investment holdings across several brokers. Easy to use, intuitive and great dashboards to measure performance. Has Tax reporting to make that time of the year a breeze. Ability to handle multiple portfolios and consolidtae for overall performance view. Ive been managing my portfoio in the past manually in excel, however it is very time consuming, heavy on data entry and takes a lot of effort. The system also has the capability to link with your broker to auto import future trades (BUY & SELL) into the system. Graphical Interface is my way of monitoring performance

We have just spent nearly 2 weeks getting our data into Navexa. I was trying to run our portfolio in a standard accounting program. This has process has shown us how wrong our holdings have been. Even getting what and how much we own right has been an experience. So many things were wrong. We should have done this years ago. Now we can clearly see what we are doing and where we are going. Decision making just became a lot easier. I would highly recommend Navexa to anyone with a share/investment portfolio, and would suggest that starting it early in the investment cycle would be a lot easier than bringing in data from over 20 years ago, because we still hold some of them. But we got there.

Navexa. Give it a go.

I was initially hesitant about signing up for Navexa (or Sharesight for that matter). I'd seen examples of investors managing their affairs quite well with spreadsheets etc. But, for a newbie like myself, understanding the ins and outs of just investing was more than enough without then worrying how I would track parcels of shares to ensure my taxes were submitted correctly. So, I tried Navexa for a 2 week trial. Was really simple to auto import trades from CMC Invest, I also add in trades from international markets and Navexa then shows information I wouldn't have even thought of such a currency gains etc. After the trial was up, I signed up for a year ( I even received a 20% discount using a code from a YT channel). I believe I can claim these fees as a tax deduction, so win/win I think. I haven't specifically had to use support as such, but the team always seem to be working on bringing in new functionality or improving existing screens etc. The online FAQ section is quite good and they show you how to do things in a easily understood way. Try it. I don't think you will be disappointed.

I recently imported five portfolios into Navexa to test it out during its trial period. It did a good job of identifying errors during the import process, and the CSV import went smoothly. Once the data was imported, I liked the layout and features. In my case, I’ve been searching for a tool that breaks out capital gains and dividend income, and computes the average share price across multiple portfolios. Navexa’s group feature solved these challenges for me. My only concern going into the trial was the pricing model. While $25 AUD per month for one to three portfolios seemed fair, the $40 fee for up to 10 portfolios was a bit steep. I wasn’t sure if there was a workaround in Navexa that would allow me to consolidate my holdings into one to three portfolios, but after a few days, I realized that wasn’t possible. I’ll end up with eight or nine portfolios. As a couple in Canada, it’s common for each of us to have an RRSP, TFSA, LIF/LIRA, and possibly a Spousal RRSP and a bond portfolio. Our portfolios range in size from one holding to 16 holdings each. In total, I’m only managing 30-35 distinct holdings across those eight portfolios, but that places me in an upper pricing tier at $40 AUD. After a couple of days setting it up, I’m going to abandon my trial and go back to my spreadsheet, Google Portfolio, and coffee. I’ll dream of the day when $40 per month doesn’t seem like a lot of money to spend on what is otherwise a pretty decent tool.

Suggestion - new clients who are onboarding for first time should get one hour of phone time with a support person to ask all relevant questions at the beginning of their Navexa journey. Once a year host an educational event and meet and greet either online or in person in Sydney or Melbourne - maybe alternate between the two. I found I had to visit delisted.com.au a lot to work out how to input takeovers - this info should come up in a separate window on the navexa website.

I found out about Navexa with a random video link delivered to a SM feed by an algorithm that magically knows we owned securities and it did pique my interest. I was definitely concerned about my tax exposure as regards my share portfolio. This was especially so as I began to add a number of ETFs to my holdings, so I started doing some serious research. No longer satisfied merely tracking the total value of the portfolio on a CMC watchlist, assigning dividend payments, additional holdings from DRPs to paper files as well as maintaining some data on spreadsheets, I had a genuine need for a product like this. We really had no solid idea of the actual cost basis of the portfolio we've been working on since the late '90s, nor a clue as to the actual returns thus far. Kind of just winging it and reporting to the ATO as best as we could manage. I tried the free version for a a few days and began populating Navexa with our data to see how it would all work. It took a bit to get up to speed with the interface as with anything, there is a learning curve, but it was manageable. With records going back a couple of decades plus, this was tedious exercise and a real PIA with share splits, swaps, capitol returns, consolidations and all the various permutations one can imagine. However with all those efforts, a true picture began to emerge of exactly where we were at with it all, especially regarding the looming CGT (if and when we liquidate, or take some profits). When I did have a couple of questions (while I was putting this together), I received helpful responses in a reasonable time frame from Navarre Trousselot the Founder & Developer of Navexa. His professionally produced videos on YouTube were and will continue to be of serious value. They are enjoyable to watch with zero hype from someone who is genuinely passionate and dedicated to his outstanding product. We like him for his brilliance and authenticity. Yay, we went ahead and signed up for 3 years! Considering the value of our holdings, the dread of navigating the ATO come tax time, the value of this software goes beyond mere cost and provides not only peace of mind but insights into our holdings heretofore UN-imagined. I recommend Navexa without reservation.

So much upside

Whilst this is a very good bit of software, the interaction between some trading companies and their import tool requires work. I use Vanguard Personal Investor, and when I upload several trades, it becomes very clunky. If they could resolve this issue, it would get five stars all day.

Help information could be better

It’s been good but some of the help information eg linking emails with platforms (cmc in my case) was inaccurate, pointing me to a different location etc. misguided me so delayed me linking up with integration with confirmations. I eventually found it in cmc by accident.

Log in difficulties

I was able to contact Navarre to help me log in. I had first logged in by Google and forgot that choice. So couldn't log in again with a new password until that avenue of access had been used again. I was doubling up on my accounts. Now all fixed and am very happy with the use of Navexa. At last, I have before me a program which tells me exactly that which I intuitively knew had to be particularized when buying in parcels.

I've used Sharesight before... I traded more complexly then than the system could handle. I've settled to ETFs, stocks, bank debt etc, and tried Navexa. Is simpler, connects to more instruments I didn't expect it to. The online support has been excellent. I still have both open but I reckon Navexa is a more realistic offer right now.

Great to be back with a great system

I have used Navexa about 18 months ago and it didn’t really do what I was hoping and, I was a bit sceptical about how secure my information was considering my broker details and trading contract notes were going direct to Navexa. I am very impressed with the functionality of the software which ticks many boxes. I think however the eventual reports could be much tidier especially in respect of multiple entity reporting. The individual entity reports are ok but when all entities are on one report there is no delineation of each entity making it very messy & needing to refer back to the individual report to understand who owns what. This could be much better structured to make the main report that tells you everything. All the information is in the system just need a couple of extra columns & a break up of entities but with an overall total.

Great software with fantastic customer support

I'm very happy with the Navexa software. I have been able to add my shares to my portfolio easily by either manually entering the transactions or by sending in my share contract confirmation emails for Navexa to import automatically. Very easy process. I did have a couple of minor issues with entering in some more complicated trades but after contacting support was able to resolve the issue quickly. Overall the software is very easy to use with fantastic customer support. Highly recommend.

Navexa saves me days when filling in my tax return. It gives me a true picture of my share returns. I liked that I could add my own custom investments. For example, my shares in a small unlisted company. It's reasonably priced. The functionality continues to evolve. The user interface could be more polished. Navexa is great

I love Navexa, but there is something wrong with the returns calculations as my returns in Navexa do not make sense compared to if I look at the value of my portfolio a year ago vs the value of my portfolio today. Also when you sell a share it would be great if it would automatically go to a cash account (not manual) and that the return of your entire portfolio including your cash position is shown. Great app but hopefully improvements will continue to be made.

Fantastic Portfolio Management software. I transferred my portfolio from Sharesight as I found Navexa to be more modern, usable and seems to be constantly evolving and growing, where I think Sharesight has gotten stagnant (Navexa's app especially is worlds better than the Sharesight app). Communication has been fantastic to date and very responsive. Highly recommended in my experience so far!

A Great Portfolio Monitor

I was impressed with the ease of setting up the portfolios and the reporting features. In particular displaying the currency change for those overseas instruments. The subscription price is reasonable as it does save significant time and effort monitoring investments and there are regular enhancements to the software. Support is available and queries are answered quickly.

Navexa - an idea worth getting behind

The platform has provided the right solution.

Nice package, reasonable learning curve.

Overall the package has presented very well, however there are a couple of glitches in my portfolio that I can't quite get right as yet. This I think is due to not having full access via Commsec back to when I started in 2014. I am working through it all slowly.

Excellent product

Excellent product. The initial download needs to augmented of course, because some share transactions happen off-market, like dividend reinvestment and direct share purchase entitlements…but modify them straight away and you’re off and running.

Great response time with support questions and website features. One problem I have noticed is the performance of the website is quite memory heavy and causes slowdowns if I open multiple tabs of different stocks. This is the only reason stopping me from giving it 5 stars.

Trialled and now annual subscriber

I'd created a very capable spreadsheet to manage my shares including live links to automate updates and calculate cgt/income. A trial of Navexa showed data input time and analysis time was reduced by 80% with this product - well worth the annual cost to minimise the impact on my time. Not to mention that the spreadsheet product hasn't allowed live link updates to the mobile version (and in 2021). Any idea's and issues have been quickly responded to by knowledgeable persons with authority, including the founder on a couple of occasions. This has led to improvements and a sense of being included. Previously my ideas resulted in hours of Excel work for something which ultimately may not be of a benefit or possible. Now I post on the forum in a couple of minutes and a qualified team determine the likely benefit and design and implement if positive.

I was using a competitor for awhile

I was using a competitor for awhile, I found navels and never looked back. The interface is far superior, the service is better, and most importantly to me, the cost is far cheaper. Over all im very happy I switched.

Early thoughts -

Early thoughts - I am fairly comfortable with entering shares into the portfolio. There are some features that I doubt if I will use but this may change as I get more used to the program. I like the presentation although I would like to see an option to sort shares alphabetically, if possible. I am looking forward to seeing how much easier this will be over the full year.

Product looks great

Product looks great, very simple and clean interface. Possibly a little too simple as there are not any detailed guidelines on how dividends are counted and pulled in. It seems the net dividend is not used when franking is involved. Lastly had some issues with adding multiple portfolios. A free trial should really be a free trial of the full version with access to everything. Surely one is more likely to buy if you've understood and liked the full product offering.

Does what it says on the box!

Really enjoying this product so far, they have thought of a lot of things and it does make it very easy to track shares and dividends as well as looking at your performance over a period of time. It delivers on the things it says it will do and the response from the developer when questions are asked is always fast.

Navexa has the potential to be a valuable tool for share investors. I have experienced some minor bugs that get fixed quickly but apart from that it gives me quick access to my portfolio and its current value making it a fantastic tool to keep track or my investments, particularly around tax time.

Great stuff

I like it. The tax reporting is saving me time at tax time. The tracking of stocks and my wider portfolios is helping me to better gauge my performance than the app I was using previously. The customer service that Navarre provides is great. I've mentioned the below in my conversations with Navarre previously and he says these updates are coming on various timelines: Broker support for ANZ Share Investing (Jan 2021) Exchange support for the London Stock Exchange (due in 2021) Portfolio comparison to other indexes instead of just ASX200 (Later this year)

I have spent many hours evaluating different sites for monitoring the performance of my share portfolios including using DIY Excel etc. Navexa provides information on share dividends, tax reports, company info etc providing up to the minute information at my fingertips on all my devices, all for a reasonably outlay.

Clean interface and responsive team

One of the few portfolio trackers that allows you to track your performance on the ASX, with the NYSE and NASDAQ recently being added. Clean user interface with very reasonable pricing. Being newly launched, found some minor bugs which were immediately fixed upon feedback. Developers are very responsive and quick with their follow up to queries which is a joy. An exciting platform to use with new features being gradually introduced as the developers continue to improve the system.
