Your portfolio holds more than a balance.

It holds the history of what you’ve bought, what you paid, the income you’ve received and the decisions you’ve made along the way.

There’s a lot of information in there. And some of the most useful questions you can ask of it take more work than they should.

The questions behind your portfolio balance

Suppose you want to raise cash from your investments. You could sell part of one holding, reduce several positions or compare different combinations. Each approach could leave you with a different capital gains position and a different mix of investments.

Working through those possibilities can mean exporting data, building spreadsheets and repeating the same calculations. Change one assumption, and there’s another set of numbers to work through.

Or perhaps your question is simpler: how have all your portfolios performed alongside one another, measured from when each began?

You know the information exists. You’d like a useful way to put it together.

We’ve been working on that.

What we’ll explore in the workshop

Navarre and Owen will introduce two new Navexa tools and demonstrate what becomes possible when those tools can work directly with your portfolio data.

Compare hypothetical trades

Examine the cash you could raise, the estimated capital gains and the effect on your portfolio’s allocation before making a decision.

Ask more of your investment data

See how questions in plain English can become reports, charts and comparisons built around the information in your account.

Explore without changing your records

Test possible changes in a scenario while keeping your actual portfolio records intact. You can investigate a different approach without adding and deleting trades from your investment history.

The workshop marks the public launch of both tools. We’ll save the full demonstration for Friday, when you can see them working and ask questions live.

What our community helped us build

Earlier this year, we invited customers to renew their subscriptions early so we could bring forward investment in the business. Their response helped us expand the team and put months of development into the tools we’re about to show you.

The idea behind that work is straightforward: your own investment history should be more useful to you. It should help you investigate a question, compare possibilities and understand the numbers behind them.

Join us on Friday 16 October

Join us at 12pm AEDT to see the tools in action and put your questions to Navarre and Owen.

If you can’t attend live, register anyway. We’ll send the recording to everyone who signs up.

Your portfolio has more to tell you. Come and see what we’ve been building to help you ask.
